Delete URL autocomplete from Google Chrome

Wanting to delete a previously entered website that keeps popping up as an autocomplete in the URL bar in Chrome? Do the following:

  • For Windows: press Shift+Delete 
  • For Mac: press Shift+Function+Delete
The autocomplete entry is removed.
